hatchu mother nature.

my brown flats have just about had it. they are falling apart. but i love these flats. their so cute. i got them at maurices back in March, but after the vigorous(i dont think i spelled that right) wearing, and Louis packing them around in his mouth, and chewing on them, they are about to be retired. ive looked at maurices and maurices.com, and i cant find a pair of the same flats....so note to self : I need to buy two pairs of the same shoes if i find i really love them next time.

but lets get serious....i have 16 pairs of different shoes at home, and only one pair of semi-boot'ish shoes. i need some boots folks. i took my mom to work this morning, and i was helping her in my car and she said "anna i dont know how you keep your feet warm in those shoes." i just sighed and said "i dont know how either mom."
one time while i was at school it was snowing so bad outside, and my dear friend sami and i had to make the dreadful journey from the student center at slcc to the administration building where our cosmetology classes are held at slcc (for those of you who dont know its not a way far walk, but in the snow...in flats...it felt like a mile), and by the time we got to the administration building our feet were so frozen solid and just bright bright red! thankfully the barbering lab had some hot towels that they usually use for face shaves all heated up, and so we just took a couple of those and warmed our feet right up ;)
so...
im pretty picky about my boots though...thats probably why i dont have any. but im desperate. im not currently attending classes, and my work doesnt have hot towels handy at any given time...so today after work (or tomorrow) i plan on taking the last few dollars in my 'fun money' budget and purchasing a pair of boots so that i might have warm toes in all this SNOW! its neccessary though, and probably more neccessary than a pair of replacement brown flats.

EFF YOU MOTHER NATURE. bring me back the sun......

I'll take one.

I was going to be greedy and put the title as 'I'll take two', but to be honest I'd be happy with a money shrub. Just a little something please????

kthx..

Mrs. John Mayer

After a brief hiatus, I have decided to let John back into my life. He hasn't had anything new to say to me since 2006 and I haven't seen him since July of 2008. Oh how I have missed him. but he is back with 11 new tracks to fill my speakers.

Everyone should go purchase his new cd "Battle Studies".

I love you, John.

Love Anna

My New Effort

It was suggested to me by a co-worker that I update my blog at least twice a week. I have been failing miserably at this whole blog stuff, but I figure I can at least make an attempt. I read Jeff and Jenny's blog and wish I had cool stuff to blog about like they do, and the more I thought about it I figured hey I have something interesting to say at least once or twice a week so I'll give it a shot.
Today is Monday. This is the run down of how my week looks this far, and then I will update again on Sunday (maybe if I'm feeling zealous I will update mid-week to see if it's going as planned at all).

Monday - Today I will eat a delicious nutritious salad from IMC hospital. My friend told me he wouldn't ever eat a salad from there because the dressing sits out all night (he would know because he works nights at IMC). I assured him that whenever my co workers and I decide to make a field trip to IMC for a salad I get romain lettuce with turkey and cheese. No dressing, so I'm alright and always satisfied. Later today I am supposed to get my washer and dryer moved into my new apartment. I have been procrastinating this task for a couple weeks and I cant figure out why. It takes no physical effort on my part to do this because I have people who are willing to help me out and to be honest I cannot lift something that massive anyway. I think I might put this off until tomorrow just because I'm RETARDED tired today. Oh yes I need to get Nate and Emily their $ for the New Moon tickets today too.
Tuesday - Tuesday is the day I am determined to get on the same level as the new database system at work called EAPS. I have been complaining about it for a few days, but ya know it hasnt done anything for me to complain. I need to move on and just learn to love it. Which if I give it a chance I'm sure I will. I need to clean my car on Tuesday too. So that will happen
Wednesday - Undetermined
Thursday - Work until 3pm. Go see New Moon with Nate, Emily, and Christopher. So excited this is definetly going to be the highlight of my week...I might go as far to say the highlight of my month. I hope it doesnt suck, but even if it does I'll still LOVE it. Oh yes, Legena is supposed to come up this day to get a consultation for her um...body alteration.....I doubt I will see her but maybe!
Friday - This part of the week gets a little fuzzy....I am wanting to go to Rangely this weekend. But its supposed to snow on Friday. So Friday will probably be just another night of drinking abusively which I am perfectly fine with. I just need to get an early start on it if that is my plan because ....(see below)
Saturday - Wake up early and go to Rangely (This is my plan). Spend some nice quality time with the neice, nephew, and sister. Drinks. Legena is in the top three funnest people to have drinks with in my book.
Sunday - Go home. blog to see how accurate or innacurate this blog was.

PEACE

I wouldn't buy legos

Last weekend we stopped at taco time before we left for Vernal. We didnt realize until we got to Roosevelt when we bought gas that we had left Alex's debit card there. We called immediatly and cancelled it, and just used our credit card the rest of the weekend.
Monday morning I went to go replace our old debit cards because they no longer worked. When the lady gave me a list of the latest charges I noticed one on there for $275 from 'Lego Shop At Home'. I called Alex he said he hadn't purchased any legos online so we filed a dispute with Mtn America and filed a police report. What was odd was that we cancelled BOTH of our debit cards on 8/14, and the lego $275 charge was made on 8/15. The mtn america person we were dealing with on the matter said it must have just slipped through and that it just happened. We knew that someone from Taco Time must had taken his card and done this because his was the one we left. The next week we find out that the charges would be felony if the product was purchased from in the state of Utah, but if the Lego Shop At Home place was located in New Jersey, or California, the charges would be Federal at that point. We were pretty excited to know that whoever stole the card would be facing a minimum of a Felony but more than likely a Federal offense over stinkin LEGOS!
I go to the bank to get an afidavit for the police to get a warrent issued to Lego Shop At Home so they will release the information to us about who purchased the items. I get there, and I am informed that it wasn't Alex's card (the STOLEN one) that was used to buy the Legos...it was MINE. I of course told the man that this was impossible because my card wasnt the one that was stolen, it was Alex's. He said that sometimes, and its very rare and the odds of this happening to me are EXTREMELY unlikely, hackers make a program that is so genius that it punches in 16 diget numbers all day long until it finds one that works, and mine just happened to be punched in and it worked. But I just dont get it because when you make any purchases online you have to know the card experation date and the three number code on the back. He said that these hackers are really really smart and dedicate all of their time to crack this kind of stuff and it is unfortunate that this happened to me. No charges were filed with the girl at Taco Time that we could have easily identified, and Murray City told us that if it is outside of Utah then there is nothing they can do about it. I dont understand this because obviously this has happened to more than one person, and if the hackers are as smart as they say they are then they know to make sure its an out of state card. But how come this is just a simple matter of "If its out of state we cant handle it further" I get that part, but why cant they tell us who can take this further? There has to be something that can be done to prevent other people from being victims of stuff like this. We got our $275 back, and I know that is a minimal amount of money, but is that really the point? Why cant it be investigated further I guess is what I am wondering....oh well, its just a crazy story!!!
